practice to family law and related issues, including complex
matters involving equitable distribution, negotiation of
agreements, trial, alimony, support, custody, and appeals. The
firm has had experience in high asset and complex family law
matters as well as jurisdictional disputes and high conflict
cases.
Bender Law Offices, PC was established in 1983 and incorporated
in 1986. It is the philosophy of the firm to provide each client
with legal services tailored to that individual. The firm
believes that each case is unique and that each client deserves
personal attention to the details and specifics that are part of
each client's individual situation.
Our Attorneys
Victoria Bender,
Attorney, Board Certified Specialist in Family Law
Victoria Bender is Senior Partner of
Bender Law Offices, PC, in Raleigh, NC. She is a board
certified specialist in family law and has practiced family law
for over 30 years. She is experienced in all areas of family law
including, premarital agreements, paternity, child custody,
support, alimony, separation, property distribution, drafting
and enforcing separation and marital agreements, trial work, and
many other procedural and substantive issues.
Ms Bender received her undergraduate degree cum laude from the
State University of New York at Stony Brook(12/71) and her Juris
Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of
Law (1978). She is a member of both the California (1978) and
North Carolina (1983) bars. Ms Bender is active in the North
Carolina Bar Association and a member of its Family Law Section,
and the Wake County Bar. She has participated in advanced
mediation training in the field of family law and has acted as a
family law mediator. She has written and lectured to various
organizations on family law, ethics, and other legal topics.

Lisa LeFante,
Attorney and Parenting Coordinator
Lisa LeFante began law practice in 1989 in New Jersey after
obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from Cornell Law School. She
obtained her undergraduate degree from the Lafayette College,
graduating Cum Laude with a B.A. in government and law. Ms.
LeFante has had a diversified practice over the years, ranging
from the defense of professional malpractice claims to the
representation of corporations embroiled in environmental and
employment related litigation. For the past eight years, she has
focused her practice almost exclusively on family law,
representing spouses in the process of separating their lives.
Ms. LeFante has represented both the stay at home parent and the
corporate executive, giving all an attention to detail deserving
of their claim.
She has handled all facets of family law, such as divorce, child custody and support, alimony, and equitable distribution. She also has experience with paternity claims, as well as the drafting of premarital and post marital agreements. Recently, Ms. LeFante has undergone extensive training with the Center for Cooperative Parenting and has been approved by the Wake County Family Court as a Parenting Coordinator. Ms. LeFante draws on her extensive litigation experience to represent her clients should matters require court intervention. She also has experience at the appellate level. Ms. LeFante is a member of both the New Jersey and North Carolina Bars. She is married and has two children.
Colby L. Hall,
Attorney and Certified Financial Mediator
Colby L. Hall, a Raleigh
native, graduated in 1996 from North Carolina State University
with her B.A. in Business Management. She earned her J.D. in
2000 from The Campbell University School of Law, where she
served on Law Review as an Articles Editor, and earned her
M.B.A. in 2001 from The Campbell University School of Business.
Following law school, Ms. Hall
clerked for Justice Franklin E. Freeman, Jr. of The Supreme
Court of North Carolina and for Judge Hugh B. Campbell, Jr. of
The North Carolina Court of Appeals.
A member of the North Carolina Bar
Association and the Wake County Bar Association, Ms. Hall
focuses on family law at both the trial and appellate levels.
Because of her passion to assist the
community, Ms. Hall is an active member of the Junior League of
Raleigh where she is involved in working with the Bargain Box,
the League’s oldest running fundraiser. In her spare time, Ms.
Hall enjoys reading mystery novels.
Pamela J. Stewart, Paralegal
Pamela J. Stewart is a N.C. State Bar Certified Paralegal and
joined Bender Law Offices in March 2006. She has worked in the
legal field since 1993 with a background in medical malpractice,
personal injury and domestic law. She has concentrated in the
family law area since 1999. Ms. Stewart has assisted attorneys in
all areas of family law, such as divorce, equitable
distribution, child custody and support. She regularly attends
seminars to stay up-to-date on the current law and local rules.
Ms Stewart works directly with the clients and assists them in all
phases of their case. She understands the nature of family law
and is willing and able to provide the time and expertise
necessary to bring the client's matter to a positive resolution.
Valorie Stevens, Office Manager
Valorie Stevens is our office manager. She is responsible for all billing and administrative matters for the firm. Valorie has a degree in Business Management and brings well over 13 years of professional experience to her position. Any questions regarding a client’s account, or setting up an appointment or a time to meet with our staff should be directed to her. In her leisure time, Val is very involved with her family and spends her time attending various sporting events around the
Triangle.
